But why? Because this is just the first digits of the irrational and transcendental number Pi. For who is not a mathematician you may be need few more details.
The constant Pi, the Greek letter p, is the symbol that represents the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.
To be more precise, literally, the constant Pi never ends (see the first one millions digits of pi) and it is considered the most important mathematical constant.
The very nerds know that the true Pi date, at the AM and PM hours, will be 3/14/15 at 9:26:53.589. Days like this only come once in a lifetime! Indeed, it happens every 100 years (1915, 2015, 2115 etc) and the best year was 1592. This was probably the greatest Pi day in history.
Another piece of history is about Albert Einstein. The brilliant physicist was born on March 14th, 1879.
I guess you already got the idea about it and some interesting facts. Now you ready for one math Pi joke:
Is it not funny?! If you answer "not really", probably you are not a mathematician.
Well, I still have many more informations in this matter, but I will leave for the next Pi day! If you want to enjoy a bit more you can spend some time solving the Pi day puzzle, from Brainfreeze puzzles, 2008.

Nooossa!
